Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
