Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Damage

Residents reported substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that multiple regions across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.

Tuesday was predicted as the wettest day, with continued thunderstorm potential anticipated across different parts of both areas.

Safety Concern

Public health experts cautioned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the northern rural areas, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
